I was jogging around the park last evening and saw some people dropping chunks of something tied to a string into the water. I went for a closer look and I realized they were catching crawfish this way. No hooks. They just waited for the crawfish to grab ahold and then pulled them out of the water. Be careful of what you hold on too tightly I guess.
